~ ALL Metal, 12 Functions, Strong and Sturdy, Folds Very Small, Great Tool ~ Impressed! ~
This all-metal folding survival shovel set is pretty much the bee's knees. When we purchased our Jeep, our previous camping shovel got lost in the transfer somehow and did not make it in. Been needing to replace it for some time. This survival shovel is heads above what we previously had. With 12 functions, this does about any camping/4-wheeling chore you could need to take care of. I like that it is completely made of metal for strength, sturdiness, and reliability. The case is great, a place for everything and everything in its place. Our case did arrive with a tear along an inside seam (see photo). I like that the shovel blade itself has a nice cover inside the main cover for safety and keeping the shovel/blades sharp and functioning their best. The small size of the case makes it easy to fit in our vehicle. There is one con and that is there are no included instructions, although I believe I've got it all sorted out. Would definitely be a plus to have information on that included. This would make an amazing gift and comes in a nice box for gift-giving. We are more than pleased to have this in the back of our Jeep at all times. We are able to feel much safer in our adventures!

Heavy as heck
Impressively well made and thick product, durable. Weighs every bit of something made of a dwarf star. It’s heavier than my wooden handle shovels that’s for sure although it seems far sturdier. Compared to any shovel you buy in a store this is at least 4x thicker too. This should last a lifetime

great tool
I was worried about the quality of this item, I had a survival shovel before and it was great while it lasted. Lasted meaning it was stolen... Anyways, this thing great, super sturdy and not flimsy at all. Just recently used it for a camping trip, to be fair i didn't use the small knife/saw accessory but i did use the fire starter and it worked great. Mostly used the shovel and axe portion for wood and messing with the logs. Shovel did great, everyone liked it and wanted the link. 100% recommend

Jack of all trades, Master of none.
Overview:This shovel is a well thought through survival kit in one, but as with any multi-tool, it's only mediocre at most tasks. You don't want it to be your gardening shovel, or your saw, or your axe, or your wrench, but if you want something that could get the job done in a pinch I think it would work well. I'll give 4 stars for what the quality that you get for the price, but I'm bugged about the saw blade coming out.Quality:The shovel had everything it described. It had a little oil on the shovel (see picture) but nothing defective. BUT as I tried sawing through a weed tree in my backyard, THE SAW BLADE CAME OUT! It was pathetically held in place and came out after a few strokes. I will try and glue it back together if I don't get a refund. The case is a sturdy material, but there's just a single loop to go onto your belt instead of two like there should be. I suspect the stiching will be the first thing to go.Performance:It failed at sawing the branch because the saw blade came out, the axe edge isn't sharp at all (it's a shovel), I got good sparks from the ferro rod, the knife blade is sharp, the hex bit adapter works well, and everything seems to be made of strong steel as advertized. But I haven't put it through more than a quick backyard test. It fit nicely in the case. See pictures.

Best Bang for the Buck
Solidly made, assembles logically and securely and is nicely priced. Was surprised to find there was a fire starter rod that was not mentioned in the description. Some reviewers thought the edge of the shovel and the knife could be sharper; but, the manufacturer probably opted for and edge that would not nick easily...if you want it sharper, you can sharpen it further; but, this is a last-ditch piece of kit and most likely you have a sharper knife on you already. You can get better "survival shovels"; but, you would have to pay much more. At this price point, this is a well-made kit that comes with a good carrying case.

A Must for Camping
I love this well built survival shovel. My wife and I went camping a few weeks ago and were surprised how durable it was, yet it was light and easy to fold down to different lengths. The ease of ease was also stood out, it was easy to dig with and pound our tent stakes.
