Willow TreeChrysalis, Sculpted Hand-Painted Figure

My mom loved this piece. She has multiple Willow Tree pieces and this was one more to add to her collection!

Idk if reviews are needed for Willow products because they have so much meaning without words. To maybe help others… my wife lost her mom in June of 2023 from breast cancer. My mother in law was an amazing women that words cannot even describe. She was able to always be the best at everything and make everyone around her smile and feel comfort. When we started to have kids she became “Gramsie” and throughout all her battles with her sickness she was always there and always loving for them. With my mother in law not physically with us anymore but seeing my daughter point at this and saying mama/ gramsie next to our nightstand… again words cannot describe the feelings. Thank you for this product.

I lost my mother to pancreatic cancer, and during her final days in hospice, my aunt was there every step of the way, providing comfort and support for both my mom and me. To show my appreciation and gratitude, I decided to gift her the Willow Tree Chrysalis figurine. The message of "Protect and cherish; give wings to fly" really resonated with me, as my mom always felt like she was my aunt's protector, but in the end, the roles reversed, and my aunt became my mom's protector. When I gave her the figurine, my aunt was moved to tears - she loved it! The figurine is beautifully crafted, and the sentiment behind it is so touching. Every year for many years, I’ve bought my mother a Willow Tree ornament or sculptured figure for Christmas. They’re usually angels and have the year on them. She really loves angel figurines, and the piano is covered in them! :) This year, the ornament just looked weird to me. But I saw this, and it reminded me of the relationship we have had—it was two adults, and I just immediately thought of her when I saw it. All we’ve been through and how much I love her. She finally got to have a surgery she’s needed for a LONG time, and I bought this while she was still in the hospital. It’s so much more beautiful in person! Very heavy, though. She had a horrible time after her surgery, and another one was done. I gave her some of her gifts before Christmas, like a super soft blanket, since she was always cold and didn’t have one that was thick. And I gave her this…which she loved! She went on and on about how beautiful it was. Unfortunately, she died on January 6, but I am so happy that she and I enjoyed some time together, and something I got her helped take her mind off of the pain she had. I’m going to keep it in my bedroom and think of her.

I bought this for my mother-in-law as a gift for her birthday. It came in a timely manner and was in perfect condition. My mother-in-law loved it and thought it was funny that it looked like me hugging her (our hair matches the figures).

These make for perfect sentimental gifts !! after having my son I got one for my mother in-law for all the support. I would say the sizing was great for the description and the product was packaged great!! They have soo manny different willow tree figures for so many occasions...it really is a special way to never forget those special moment.

My mom was brought to tears when I gifted her this. I have to admit that when I read the meaning/message for this piece so did I. This symbolizes a teenage daughter but I felt it still very much applied to me at 32 years old. My mom has struggled with me moving far away from home (cross country) and the message really resonates. I also got a grandmother figure from willow tree for my grandmother and she loves it too! You can’t go wrong with these beautiful little figures.

I met my friend in nursing school. We became fast friends. She moved to the same town as me. As the years went on I so often leaned on her for the best of times and the saddest of times. Two years ago our son died. So very often she cradled me in her arms and allowed me to mourn and grieve. This Willow Tree of 2 women hugging symbolizes our everlasting friendship. She has moved away to start another journey. We both cried when she opened this beautiful gift. It was perfect.
