Rod-5 stars. Shipping/ packaging-1 star.
Product arrived in zero packaging with a few scratches and dings. The fact that none of the eyes are broken is a miracle, the UPS driver was impressed as well. Shipper needs to utilize better packaging. The rod has to be tough to make the trip from Maryland to North Carolina with minimal damage. We will see how it holds up to surf fishing on the OBX.

Awesome rod
Got the 12ft medium heavy really like the rod it casts far and handles great. Looking to get one more to have a matching set.

Takes forever
First one came broken after waiting over a month. Now it's been on order received for over a week hope I get it before my trip in 27 days probably won't be ordering rods off here again.

Good Rod Poor Shipping Protection
The rod itself appears to be a good one. The reason I gave it a low score is, like many other reviewers, the way the rod was shipped was shameful. It appeared on my front porch simply in a thin plastic tube about the thickness of a grocery bag. Also, the shipping number was taped to the rod with a very strong self-sticking label. That required careful peeling and then cleaning the adhesive off with alcohol. I have ordered many fishing rods online over the years and never got one like this. It is a wonder that the rod was not damaged.

VERY LIGHT NOT SURE HOW STRONG THE EYLETS ARE. SEEM TO NBE RUSTING ALREADY EVEN AFTER WASHING DOWN.
