Compost
Like this compost and it is fairly light and good consistency, my pot plants grow well in it.

Good quality house plant compost
Found this compost to be a nice fine, crumbly mix - unlike a DIY stores own brand which was lumpy & full of woody bits. My plants really appreciated the quality of Miracle Grow House Plant Compost too.

Poor quality
The last batch of this compost was really poor - dry, doesn't hold water, full of mushroom spores. It's stunted the growth of all the plants I re-potted last Spring.

Good potting mix for general houseplants
I've used this product for multiple house plants and just addedd additional aggretae for drainage to suit my specific plants needs. This is not really needed unless your plants require really good draingage though and I'd just use this straight out of the bag 90% of the time.

Good quality soil no insects
Bought this for an indoor plant. I was worried about buying soil as all the other ones I read about seemed to have bugs. This one doesn’t and the yukka plant is thriving.

Full of small flies
I know very little about plants and gardening, got this for my sister in October but didn’t see her until December due to illness. Left the bags in the garage, which is not used, other than for storage, nice and cool with no other plants, went to pick it up in December and there were literally thousands of small flies, in an out of what I think are air holes in the bags. I’ve googled it and it says ‘thrips’. Obviously I didn’t pass the bags on to my sister, would not be good for the plants from what I’ve read. Too late to return. Just glad that I’d left them in the garage and not gifted them sooner. My sis would have been gutted.

Compost is full of fungus gnats
This compost has quite a lot of fungus gnat eggs. I've resorted to baking the rest of the unused compost in the oven to ensure that I don't infect any more of my houseplants!
