Rhapsody Jinhao x450 Fountain Pen 0.5mm Medium-Fine Nib Ink Pens (10pk BLACK Cartridges)

The media could not be loaded. At my home, I have one ‘award winning luxury’ fountain pen and a couple of other expensive fountain pens. After using this Rhapsody Jinhao x450 Fountain Pen, I concluded that it is worthy of receiving a five-star rating! This pen is beautifully designed. The dreamy 'night sky blue' colour, the decorative features on the clip, the model name/number engraved on the gold band, the ergonomic grip section, and the reassuring ‘click’ of the cap surpasses its £8.99 price tag!The Jinhao x 450 lacks the uninterrupted ink flow as seen in luxury pens, however, its excellent weight and balance and 18K gold plated medium nib offers a pleasantly smooth writing experience! I have not encountered leakage from this pen and have found it to be fully functional. I can confidently recommend this fountain pen.

Brilliant pen, writes very well and is a medium nib. Also love the blue finish which makes it look very expensive. Highly recommend for the price!

These pens are excellent value for money. They look very professional & they're so many things to like about them. If the pen sheath had fixed to the top of the pen I would have given this 5 stars. I'm forever putting things down & losing them. The Build Quality of the pen is great & it writes really well. It's a very good pen.

I don't often write reviews, but this one merited my thoughts. I do like a good fountain pen and have many good makes already, but this pen is such a gem. Heavy, solid and amazing to write with. Comes with a refill inside - so no need to buy plastic cartridges and enjoy the ink bottle refilling instead. Choose your ink colours and let the writing flow!

I now have three of these pens - red, white and blue - for different inks for everyday use. They look good, don’t leak (unlike my much vaunted Mont Blanc!), and are at a price that I love.

I bought this on the recommendation of a friend. I was worried that her item might have been luck but mine was just as good. Excellent flow, nice weight,solidly made. It would-be nice to have a medium or broad nib option so will look for this. The cartridges in black or blue are very reasonably priced. The pen also comes with options to fill from a bottle of ink but I don't think will use as bottles are very expensive and so far the cartridge option shows no sign of leaking. The click on cap is a nice touch because even if it does leak - seal look very good. Altogether beautifully engineered for just £7.50 !! My handwriting is very small in some ways the fine nib might help with the deciphering ! I have bought four with black, red, green and blue cartridges. No leaking even lying flat in a bag !!!!

I like the feel and shape of this pen. Sadly, that's as good as it gets. I bought it because I wanted a second ink pen to mark important items in red.You can see what it does to my page. When I first used it, it took ages to get any ink flowing through the nib. Now it just drops blobs of red ink all over the place.Yes, that is red ink, but it's dropped so much it appears black. It's awful.I know it's not expensive, which is probably where I went wrong. My writing pen is a Wordsworth & Black; I know it's like comparing apples and pears, but you expect a basic level of quality, and I'm only using it for annotations.Return arranged, now shopping for alternative options.

This is a great pen in terms of function and form. Good quality and feels solid in the hand.Only drawback is that it does not post well. If you can use the pen unposted, for example if you have small hands then you will have no issue. If you post it, the cap will become loose unless you push down really hard…which may break the pen.The x159 and the 82 are probably better jinhaos if, like me you have big fat hands and need to post the cap.
