Sadly there is no way to adjust it for beams that aren't very wide.

Does not fit my size of I-beam, too big had to modify to get it to work. Otherwise, great and fast shipping.

Wanted something like this to install a chair on to a beam in basement and this fits well into my needs without too much hassles.

The hanger fit exactly how I wanted too. Making use of my centre beam in my basement, and not giving away too much depth.

This product deformed with regular use, and (even though appropriately tightened) did not stay in its position on the beam. The description includes "...from 3.7 to 6.7 inch to adapt to different beam widths." FYI, the flange on these beams is 4-inches.There are 15 of these units in a commercial gym, all have failed. Rated for 900lbs? No... a 100lb heavy bag has caused this deformation.1 out of 5 stars (and I wish 0 stars was an option). A 9 year old child can take a better punch than these brackets.

I used it for a pully system for working out. Works great for our needs.
