I wish I would have purchased one of these three years ago. We moved and built a brand new home close to our home town. From the beginning of moving in, we had issues with flies in the area. Every time I would cook something on the grill the flies would come around. When I would open the back door several would come into the house. I saw the advertisement of the magnetic screen doors on TV and decided to purchase one at Bed Bath and Beyond. When I installed it I realized that it was way too big for my back door so I started looking on Amazon. This particular brand had great reviews and it had various sizes and colors to choose from. I was sold and purchased one. It was a few days before Memorial Day when I purchased it and hoping it would come because I would be grilling on that Monday off. I came in in only one day thanks to Amazon's excellent service.I unpacked everything and notice one feature that the advertised TV version didn't have. This version had Velcro for installing all around the entire door. The TV version had you install Velcro in only certain areas. Installation was a breeze. The Velcro installation around the door frame took me about 10 minutes. When I put the magnetic screen on the Velcro I noticed that the length of the screen was about 1 inch to long. I ended up folding the bottom and stapling it, but later discovered that you could fold it from the top of screen.The magnets in the opening did not close all of the way. By loosing up the sides made a better fit. It did take about 3 weeks for the screen to close properly with no open areas around the magnets. At time I used to the push pins that came with to permanently secure it to my door frame.I received several tips from the company after the purchase and one was to use a hair dryer to get all of the creases out of the screen where it was folded. I decided to just let nature take its course. The screen works perfectly! Very well made, stronger than the TV version. I've grilled several times and not once did any flies come into my home when opening the back door.I did have a few other questions about the product and the company responded very quickly when I contacted them.This magnetic screen door is very well made and would highly recommend it! First, let me commend the maker for including a color choice. This bronze color looks so natural over my shaded doorway, the birds weren't bothered. Installation was clearly explained and instructions were easy to follow and complete. The pattern in the weave call attention to the presence of the curtain without disturbing the view. The magnetic closure is easy and closes completely so my dogs go in and out at will and I don't have to manage their "ins and outs". The price point of this product is good and belies the effectiveness and quality.

This is a high quality screen. The materials and magnets are of good quality, and it looks good. It is clear that this screen will see years of use. My cats and I are in and out all day, and it opens closes very well. My only displeasure is that the Velcro pieces across the top (instead of a continuous strip) get saggy in hot weather, in the middle, thus making it difficult for the screen to close behind me, as it sags enuf to drag at the bottom. Perhaps, I should not have made the bottom clearance so small. When it holds in place, it works wonderfully well. The suppliers did enclose nice looking thumb tacks, and mentioned this in the product description. However, I don't want to put holes in the wood around my door, and I thought I was buying a product with a continuous Velcro screen on top - my confusion. Now that the weather has cooled, it is not sagging. I will add Velcro to the top before summer returns. In the meanwhile, no more flying insects in the house! It has a nice trim across the top, but not the scalloped trim, as in the photo. The sides hold well, and it does the job I needed it to do. Finally, it gives you about the same level of privacy as a screen door (black mesh) when someone walks past and indoor lights are not lit. I'm happy with my purchase and would buy from this supplier again.

I ordered this screen because it worked perfectly and did not tear easily. Having 5 grandchild I needed something that would hold up.

This screen door has been great for my screen house to deck doorway, esp so my German Shepherd can come and go. I’ve had three over about 10 years. The second got shredded prematurely by the dog arriving as a 7 mo pup. ( The Amazon page pic is misleading —medium/large dogs don’t jump thru the door; they use their nose to easily push through it.) Both the second and third doors were exactly the size as ordered and manufactured like the first. Pretty easy to install initially and then super easy to replace.
