Not a good Float Vave
I purchased 2 One of the did not stop the Flow. There are better ones out there. I replaced the bad one with a M.Z.A water Float Valve Works Great. However it does have a issue the 3/4 fitting is not a tapered pipe thread and liked, the solution was Use a 3/4 to 1/2 inch adapter and us a hose washer

Perfect Float Valve
Affordable, quality piece that maintains sap level in my maple syrup evaporator. Stainless steel makes it look like it was made for this purpose.
