Beautiful and Brand New Book as Described! Wonderful speedy delivery. I will definitely be coming back for more! Just wish I had paid more attention to the cover to know it was the 9th edition.

Despite searching for Tyranid Codex 10th edition, this is the top hit and is not for 10th edition. The 9th edition rules are not the current rules for the game and cannot be used if expecting to play the game everyone else is playing.Games Workshop used apparently the exact same cover for 9th and 10th, and Amazon does not distinguish nor mention anywhere from what I can see what edition it belongs to, so it is very very easy to mistake this. As far as I can tell, you cannot purchase the 10th Edition codex on Amazon at all.

Great hard copy codex from games workshop. Nice glossy pages with an easy to read format. It fills you in on a lotta lore which is good for people like myself looking to get back into the hobby. Tenth edition just came out but for the price it gives you an introduction to the hobby.

I bought this as a gift for my son for Christmas. He said it was exactly what he wanted. He told me to give it five stars. So I am.

This review has nothing to do with the overall quality of the book which is generally up to Gamesworkshop's high quality standards. It's glossy, beautifully presented and full of tons of lore and pictures. However it's very easy to mistake this 9th edition codex for the newer 10th edition Tyranid Codex. Be sure to pay attention to whether or not there is a Tyranid Symbol drop-shadow of sorts behind the Hive Tyrant on the cover. If there is it's the new 10th edition cover and if there isn't then you're getting the 9th edition out-of-date codex.

This is not the current codex and the cover art is the same for both.

Bought thinking it was the current edition. It's not.
