Does what I need and looks classy.
I have a BBQ shed that I use all winter long. I needed to vent through an end wall coming off the range hood I installed. 6 inch vent on the hood. My local hardware store only carried 4 inch so I ordered this vent cap. Had to do some innovation because it is mounted to 1/2 inch lp siding. purchased a couple small diameter screws and collapsible wall anchors and it went up great. A little clear caulk all the way around and it will last for years. Turned the range hood on and the grass 10 feet down was blowing around. Easy to attach the flex vent tubing onto it.

Works well looks good but has sharp edges
I like the vent cover. It was cheap and it cuz its job. The only complaint that I have about this item are the sharp edges. Make sure you wear gloves while installing this product. I was one of the many here that caught myself while installing this product.If it wasn't for the sharp edges I would give it 5 out of 5.

Excellent vent!
Was looking for a vent with a partial dome to protect half of the opening. This vent is top quality and worked perfectly. We did use two screws to hold the vent pipe to the vent itself. We are satisfied with this vent and recommend it if you are looking for this style.

Pros and Cons
It looks great and fits the dyer air exhaust pipe ending well. There is a screen, needed to keep outsiers (bugs, pollen) out, but also means it has to be cleaned to remove lint. Remove the screen and bugs would get in. Also the screen isn't quite flush with the opening. If you buy it, inspect it thoroughly before installing. It looks good and is much sturdier than my old plastic cover which was discentigrating after years in hot Texas sun. I kept it for now, but may eventually replace with a metal "flap" style cover.
