Not impressed for cold weather
I don't know about cold weather use. HandleHits barrel and I raised pump higher to not hit barrel, then splashed myself with fuel.Need 3 hands to pump fuel without mess.Purchased in December. Today I went to pump fuel and it doesn't work. Took it out of barrel and the plastic threads came apart. Put it back with only 2 pipes and still doesn't work. I don't recommend this product.

Works well-with limitations. Fine thread is easy to cross thread.
I used this pump to transfer 55 gallons of light oil. It worked well. However, I do have some critiques for things that make it less than ideal for some uses..1. The threads on this pump are very fine thread. You have to be very careful not to cross thread them. They are also not compatible with any common SAE thread sizes. If you want to change the pickup tube good luck.2. The three piece pick up tube is great for shipping but it limits your ability to set the tube at different heights without taking the tube apart. Sometimes I deal with contaminated oil. With a one piece tube I can lower the pick up tube until I hit water, raise it a bit and pull the good oil out. This is not really practical with this pump.3. The include bung adaptor word great on a steel barrel with standard threads. It will not work on plastic barrels with course threads. On a pump sold for use with chemicals, which often come in plastic barrels, this is an issue.Overall the pump works well but it has some limitations/issues. Hopefully this review will help you decide if this pump is right for you.

Not good for bleach (sodium hypochlorite)
After reading the description and reviews I went with this unit. I used it twice to fill my bleach tanks on my exterior wash trailer and it doesn’t siphon anymore. I would not recommend.

Use to pump chemicals seem to last pretty long

Does not work very well
I am using this for water and without a check valve, you literally have to keep priming the pump in order to get it to work. Not worth the money. If I could, I would like a refund for this item and would not purchase it again.
