Wouldn’t you know it just said how reliable my 15+ year old DC14 Animal had been when the motor blew! The new part fitted perfectly and included the EMI filter (capacitor), you just have to exchange the rubber mounts from the original motor.Replacing the motor is a bit fiddly but with care and reference to online videos is achievable.If you are this far into your Dyson vacuum cleaner you may as well change the belts and Pre/Post motor filters. I would recommend buying a belt lifter for refitting the clutch to brush belt as new ones are very tight, a good length of bootlace helps in fitting the motor-clutch belt.All parts available on good old AmazonAltogether a cost effective repair giving hopefully many more years of service from these highly maintainable machines

I've had my dc07 must be nearly 20 years always vacuum brilliant so was very disappointed when the motor died has you know you can't get dyson motors for these vacuums so my husband told me to order one I read reviews and a lot of positive remarks so I ordered one well my old dyson came back to life so pleased . My husband said it was easy to fit the motor .

A bit tricky to fit but definitely extends the life of a very old but effective DC14.

Bought the motor to replace the original one that was burnt out on a Dyson dc14. To my annoyance it turned out to be faulty, so I had to send it back. In defence of the seller it was free to return & my refund was swift.

Works fine in my DC07. Restored suction and power.
