Musiclily 8 Hole Tele Pickguard Scratch Plate for Fender USA/Mexican Standard Telecaster Modern Style Electric Guitar, 3Ply Black

Bought this scratch plate to replace a faded white one on my 1998 Inca Silver Tele.This is a really good purchase for the money!It's very solid and the holes and fit are an exact replica of the original Fender plate. I am very happy with it indeed.Thank you.

Really great pickguard!Perfectly fits my made in Mexico Player Series Telecaster (made in 2020).The pickguard is well made and is the same size as the original Fender one. Bought the chrome, or mirror one.The mirror effect is great, it's a thick piece of plastic with the edges angled off.Well packaged with a set of new screws and a free pick as well.After loosening the string tention I removed the original guard and also the switch control plate. Neck pickup needs to be swapped over to the new pickguard also.Then I put the new pickguard on first, set the screws only loosely, and then put the control plate on again. Then tightened all screws and tuned the strings up again. Done.Took only 10 minutes to replace and only needs a screwdriver.5 stars!Would buy again and I am already looking at different colours. It it fits, it's a good buy. There were two screw holes that needed just a little work to ensure the screws went down nice and straight; they still looked correct in the countersunk holes when in there.P.S. My last guard (a Fender parchment one) gave me lots of static crackle. I'd advise buying some copper tape and taking the time to cover the underneath of any new guard. You can use a strip of the tape to take a ground from the front of the control plate. As you have the guard off, you may as well do this. I have no idea if this new product's plastic will be a static collector, but I decided that I didn't want to find out.

My 2018 player tele came with a white scratchplate whoch looks great but I wanted a change. You can see how much this new black scratchplate changed the aesthetic of the guitarFour stars because I had to do about 30 mins of filing-down around where it meets the neck to get it to lign up with the holes. That wasn't too bad though and I kind of expected it

Nicely made pickguard especially for the low price. No blemishes or marks on the front and a decent authentic mint green colour. Lined up nicely, only mod I had to do was for the pickup screws as the guards holes were a bit tight, just whittled them a little bit with a stanley knife. This was on a Squier Bullet tele in Daphne blue, was shipped with a single ply bright white guard, This one looks so much nicer on it!

Good value for money and fits my Mexican Telecaster perfectly. All the holes in the picture are present and correct and line up with the ones on the guitar. Two small things to watch out for: it really does take a long time to ship from the Far East, so don't order if you;re in a hurry, and it comes with TWO layers of protective film on it, so after peeling one off, you're left wondering whether to risk picking at the edges again - it would be easy to make the mistake of leaving the second layer on. It's much shinier underneath!
