Do we need this, no, but it certainly makes filling wine/mead/cider bottles a heck of lot easier and less messy.

Easy to use, works great and separates for sanitizing. Making my second purchase, lasted 5 years before my disposal ate the tip. Tried two others that were terrible. Get this .

The spring is definitely strong enough to prevent any leaks and the fill piece has a tight friction fit for easy cleaning.

Works great for bottling our hard cider that we brew. So easy to use even my wife can do it. Makes it easy to get every bottle filled the same amount, full.

Nice tool to help bottle homemade alcohol like mead/wine. mine had a slight drip to it even when seated correctly but it was negligible, were talking like maybe 3-5 drops as i transferred it from a full bottle to an empty one.

Bought 2. 1 for son in law. 1 for me. both work great. My cider is better than his but I can not blame nor can I credit this device.

Connect this to a silicone tube, have a few gallons of wine to bottle, and this is your device. :-)Easy to use, with a tip that simply needs to rest on the bottom of the bottle to start flow, and lifting the wand off the bottom shuts it off. Makes filling bottles easy. Highly recommend.

If you fill your own bottles, rack, transfer liquid with a siphon, or anything where your thumb just isn’t the most agile tool for the job, stop waiting and just do it.I have used it for two bottling sessions and for racking 8 one gallon batches in a day.
