Works very well.
Just what I needed for my webcam. A passive lead would not work due to the distance. Very pleased.

Good cable
I use this as an extension for a midi signal coming from a drum pad into a lighting desk… reliable and secure (though I have used insulation tape on the connection as a belt and braces as the cable runs under a drum riser)

Providing a robust connection
To be honest I didn't have high hopes for this product as USB isn't designed to run over longer distances. However I was surprised to find that this cable actually works very well.I use this to connect my PC in the house to my telescope rig in the backyard, around 15m away. At the telescope end I have the cable connecting to the rig via an unpowered USB hub, which services an imaging camera, a guide camera and the telescope mount. So far I've had no dropouts during imaging sessions. The cable itself is rugged, with a self-powered repeater unit halfway along its length. It comes with a power supply to make provision for power hungry USB devices, but I haven't needed this for my Use Case. The only downside is that as it's a thick cable, presumably due to being well shielded, it's not so easy to coil up after use. But I guess this is a trade-off for providing connectivity over such a long distance and it's certainly something I'm prepared to live with.Highly recommended.

Works BUT check power
This was brought to connect a PreSonus USB guitar interface to a Mac via USB. The mac is a fair way from the interface. When I first plugged it into the CalDigit Thunerbolt expansion box into the USB-A port, there was a clicking on the headphones and I could see the power light flashing as if the power was being supplied quikcly on and off. I then put the cable into an unpowered USB hub that connects to the USB-C port rather than the USB-A port. The clicking disappeared and it works fine. I am not powering the extension cable other than through the USB port.I'm happy to blame other factors than the cable here, as it now works OK.Not cheap but cheaper than the StarTech one.

Work with usb power
Good to find a usb3 cable extension that works with the Mac usb power. I put a three way usb hub on the end for wired keyboard and mouse plus a memory stick.

Works as promised with a webcam
I was a bit uncertain about how well this would perform with a webcam. I would normally use SDI connectivity with a suitable camera, but cost is quite high. Using a reasonable quality Logitech camera gives a good picture for use on Zoom and the connection appears stable. Provided it is good rejecting a lot of devices with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth turned on this cable provide a good budget solution for a fixed camera. If interference proves a problem I will add to the review.

Can't reach 5Gbit.
Daheng 5Gbit USB3.0 camera gets to 2.5Gbit max with this cable. The 7.5m version, same camera manages to reach the full 5Gbit.
