POWEROWL AA AAA Battery Charger 8 Bay, Independent Slot, USB Fast Charging for Ni-MH Ni-CD Rechargeable Batteries

I have had other chargers but this one is better. I charged AA batteries twice as fast as my existing chager amd each battery was at least 80 percent charged. The old charger would only get to 60 percent.Note i am using amazon batteries and amazok charger.

1.) I HAD 83 AA & AAA EVEREADY ENERGIZER RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES IN A BAG READY TO BE DISCARDED AT THE HOME DEPOT BIN.2.) I HAD CHARGED ALL OF THEM WITH THE EVEREADY ENERGIZER FAST CHARGER MODEL CH15MN2 AND THE EVEREADY ENERGIZER SLOW 8 HOUR CHARGER MODEL CHP41US.3.) BOTH CHARGERS DESIGNATED THOSE 83 BATTERIES AS BEING NO LONGER CHARGEABLE.4.) THE FAST CHARGER SHOWED A RED FLASHER AND THE SL0W CHARGER SHOWED RED X'S.5.) NEITHER EVEREADY ENERGIZER CHARGER WOULD CHARGE THE EVEREADY ENERGIZER BATTERIES.6.) I BOUGHT THE POWEROWL CHARGER FY-828 (THE MODEL DESIGNATION IS HILARIOUS)7.) AS AN EXPERIMENT I TOOK 8 OF THOSE SO DESIGNATED 'UNCHARGEABLE' BATTERIES, AND I INSTALLED THEM IN THE POWEROWL FY-828.8.) WHAT CAN I SAY? E U R E K A !? A B R A C A D A B R A ?! I WILL SETTLE FOR W O W !!!!!!!9.) OUT OF THE 83 'DEAD' BATTERIES, THIS AMAZING CHARGER RECHARGED AND RESTORED 81 OF THOSE BATTERIES, AND I HAVE BEEN REUSING THEM NOW FOR OVER A MONTH!10) I ORDERED A SECOND MACHINE, NOW I HAVE 2 OF THESE AMAZING CHARGERS.11) I DO NOT WORK FOR POWEROWL, BUT TO REPRESENT THEM IN THIS REVIEW, I AM PROUD.

Easy to use. I like the green light to know when you have a full charge. Works for both AA and AAA size rechargeable batteries. It does seem to take a full 24 hours to get to that full charge though. Decent for what I need and cost was acceptable. Cord is very short, so you need to have it really close to the outlet for charging.

Charging AAs and AAAs is perfectly easy. Use a USB charger that delivers at least 2 amps 5vdc, more will charge faster.*First, charger immediately indicates if battery is properly taking the charge (Red LED battery symbol, is already charged (symbol turns green) or is defective or reversed (alternate flashes red or green). Unlike other chargers that take a few moments to say if the battery is defective, this one registers almost immediately.*Second, the form factor is very compact. My old 4 cell charger took too much space in my storage box. This is not that much wider and longer than the up to 8 batteries it can charge, and it's low profile. It fits the box easily with all the batteries - rechargeable, alkaline, or other - that i have to keep on hand.*Third, it charges anywhere from one to eight batteries, no having to pair.It's easy, works great with any USB wall wart (higher output is better, and no compromise of function vs. size.

My batteries were of unknown age since I got them with a used trail cam. The lighted battery indicators were very helpful understand the status of the charging process and whether the batteries were going to be revied. Charging did take overnight but was successful for all 8 bateries.

Batteries are kept charged!
