It Just Works
No complaints. Comes with little jumpers for powering off a usb port in every type of Pi.

Great PoE hat
Talk about plug-and-play. All you need to do is set the hate onto the GPIO pins and you are ready to power the Pi, very easy and simple setup. The hat is also compact, so I am able to use them in my GreekPi 10" Pi cluster AND make use of the nvme stands that are built into the cluster. The active cooler is noticeable if you are listening for it, but overall pretty quiet.

Awesome little PoE HAT. Works with the Orange Pi 5 Pro!
I'm happy to confirm this hat actually works on the Orange Pi 5 Pro as well as the Raspberry Pi 5. To make it work on the Orange Pi 5 Pro...* Trim the right most 4 header pins behind the USB port that block the inductor.* The heat sink does not fitBeyond the above, it fits the Orange Pi 5 Pro just fine. Bring your own little / short heatsink and you'll have a nicely packaged NVMe ARM64 board.

Nice an reliable
Great PoE that works exactly as described. I did notice, however, that with the HAT on my pie, I was no longer able to fit my pie cover over the pie. This hat has been sitting on my pie in my utility room for several months now and is extremely reliable. I would recommend this for someone that wants to eliminate the need for a conventional power source or wants to free up an outlet.

Works exactly as advertised, huge plus for GPIO pass through headers
Powers right up from a Netgear GS108PEv3 switch. Opens up further connectivity with GPIO pass-thru pins (I have a LCD display stacked on top). Comes with heat sink and a tiny fan on the HAT. Gets the job done and arguably even better than official one (w/o GPIO pass-thru).If you have sensitive analog devices connected to your RPi, shielded RJ45 patch cables or some other form of grounding would be needed. My LCD flickers badly without grounding presumably due to noise coming from ground-isolated nature of PoE.

DOA Support Was No Help
Product was DOA and killed the Raspberry Pi it was installed on. I contacted Waveshare support and received one response requesting videos of the no start, no LED condition and after supplying this never was contacted again. This will definitely keep me away from Waveshare products in the future.

Where has this been for previous generations?!
This product worked amazingly well on my rPi 5s. So well I ended up ordering 5 more of them. Fits like a glove, provides all the power a rPi could need, and is literally plug and play. The fan/heatsync keeps it cool. Highly highly recommend.

It works, but instructions don't match the product.
Comes with no instructions, not even a URL or QR code. Googling will get you to the waveshare site. Now normally something like this is pretty easy to figure out. But I got three thermal pads which I thought were for the three chips, but after I put them on the chips I realized the heatsink doesn't cover the RP1 at all. There seems to have been a couple iterations as there are pictures of a bigger heatsink that did cover the RP1. The current waveshare wiki for this product doesn't show the heatsink I got, but shows the bigger heat sink that covers the RP1 ...but also shows only 2 thermal pads being used! So over all, super confusing. While I was putting the heatsink on (I put the extra pad on the wifi chip because the heatsink covered it) a tiny little white plastic piece came off from somewhere. not a clue what it is (its not an electronic part). The POE hat itself seems to work fine. The fan is super quiet.Waveshare, get your documents in order and at the very least provide a link to instructions.
