Easy to use, heavy but not too bad. I'm able to grip it and have to problem using it. The blade is very sharp and durable.

The cleaver was able to handle chicken bones, but not beef ribs. The cleaver chipped in the middle of the blade. See attached image. I would only recommend this cleaver if you plan on mounting on the wall as art. I'm going to shop my local Asian market for a more durable cleaver.Note: Although the period for a refund had lapsed with Amazon, the manufacturer contacted me concerning a replacement or a refund for this cleaver. I bought my husband two knives for Christmas. This was one of them and he loves it. He loves to cook and he said this was cleaving through meat and Bone really well. It also has this neat feature. He discovered where you can pull the herbs through those holes and get rid of the stems and portions you don't want by the pull through. But it's a good quality item at a reasonable price

This is an absolute awesome knife for cutting big pieces of meat . Super sharp, really comfortable in your hands and well made.
