Looks great, works great, easy to set up, and inexpensive. This is pretty much the original.

I gave the grandkids Lava Lamps and told them they were part of their heritage from their hippyish grandparents. Fun! My daughter still has our original which was a wedding present in 1968. Thanks for a fun product.

First time I ordered it, wax didn’t melt contacted Amazon for a replacement and got one two days later. No cloudy water, no discoloration of the wax. I followed THE INSTRUCTIONS and it melted in 2-3hours.. not understanding how people were complaining about it not working when the instructions clearly say it says a couple hours to melt. Great gift and it was on sale can’t beat it. DO NOT GO THROUGH THE SELLER IF YOU HAVE ISSUES GO THROUGH AMAZON DIRECTLY.

If you read the reviews, getting a good lamp is a hit or miss the first time. The first one I ordered had very cloudy liquid that didn’t clear up in 3 days; if the liquid doesn’t get clear in a few days, most likely, it won’t get clear at all. I ordered a replacement, and the lamp came in 2 days. I think the cloudiness is due to shipping in cold weather, but I’m not sure. The replacement came with clear liquid, but like all lava lamps, it runs hot and will overheat, causing the wax to break apart in little blobs which stick to the top. To combat this, a dimmer is needed to see that magical wax flow along with a dimmable incandescent bulb. You can find a dimmer on Amazon for less than $20, and it works like a charm. The return process was very simple and fast. Overall, this product is a cool addition to my living room!

Not very bright but looks great once it finally starts working. Mine took several attempts before it would even work. When they say it can take a few hours, they mean it. It also loses functionality after so many hours. Built like a typical lava lamp but the material isn’t the heavy duty gray stuff like the others. Very glossy and bright silver. I’d say you pay for what’d you think was a good lava lamp, but the overall value isn’t worth it.

DO NOT BUY!Seriously. It came cloudy, the bulb blew out immediately, even after I bought a replacement bulb the wax never melted. Waste of money. Replaced it with one from Walmart that was half the price and it worked flawlessly.

I was very skeptical on buying this after looking at the reviews, but it’s pretty good. Most of the people don’t have the patience to wait for the wax to melt and IT DOES take a little over 3 hours for the bubbles to start moving. The liquid was a little cloudy yesterday (the first day I turned it on) but looks like it’s fine now. So I guess you just need to give it a few uses. Recommend!!!

My lamp came really cloudy. It has instructions that came with it to solve the cloudiness but I tried and it still did nothing. It's as cloudy as it was when I first got it.——-EDIT UPDATE:I eventually sent back the first lamp because the cloudiness got worse and eventually the wax didn’t even move after a couple weeks use. I got an exchange replacement lamp and the replacement is much much clearer.
