Brine shrimp live about 2 months... so life expectancy isn't very long. Plus they will die if you over feed them. I feed them once every couple days. For the first days 4-5 days they don't need any food at all. Hope this helps.

You can buy food, without buying it from the company too--sea monkeys are just brine shrimp. We feed ours a mixture of the brewers yeast and spirulina fish food--one packet of brewers yeast in a jar of spirulina flakes, all powdered up, and we use the little feeder spoon that came with it to measure. Q: what do they look like are they really alive???

They are alive and resemble a hybrid between man, monkey and mermaid. Their facial features are human like and they often mimic your expressions.
