I got this to fit my Oaklahoma Joe Highland offset as the main cooking chamber had a couple of spots where smoke was escaping during the seasoning process.You get two rolls in the pack, I used one roll to do the cooking chamber and had a small amount left. I didn't opt to use it around the Firebox as that wasn't a concern of mine personally seeing as fire needs air to burn anyway.So now I have a spare roll left over should I need to replace it in the future. I've had two smoking sessions with the smoker since the seal was installed and it definitely made a difference to the amount of smoke leaking through the door.

Difficult to remove the backing without destroying it, but the instructions show you how to do it (score across with a sharp knife). Once you've done that it's easy to apply and does the job well.

The media could not be loaded. Ok first off, I was close to not purchasing this due to some feedback saying the backing is impossible to take off, luckily I ignored them.Of course the backing is difficult to take off, the adhesion is very strong which is needed for it to function correctly. Peal the end you've cut, and with some patience it comes off absolutely fine.Now onto the functionality. It's a real shame I didn't record before I applied this product, because the smoke was billowing out of each side due to the poor design of my BBQ. I've applied the product on both base and lid (that's how much of a gap I had), and as you can see from the video, absolutely no smoke escape from the sides. PERFECT!And yes, my BBQ needs a good clean :)

Bought this to fill a small gap between 48cm BBQ & 47cm rotisserie ring. Very easily installed, fitted two wraps, one on top of the other and has adhered to both the metal of the ring and itself equally well. In operation it has provided a very good seal between the two components and as such has made temperature control of BBQ when using rotisserie a doddle. Good quality product that works perfectly for purpose it was purchased, thank you.

Used once, on smoke box, but didnt last

Great product!I used this on a Weber kettle and I’m very happy with the product. It seals the kettle very well keeping any smoke inside the kettle only to escape through the top vent and also keeps the extra heat in as well.If you have any accessories between the base and the lid (the tool hanging accessory for example) then you will get a bit of leakage around this area but the rest of the seal works great.

Spent decent time doing prep on the lid - brushed off all the soot and crud, gently sanded rust spots, degreased with degreaser, cleaned with white spirit, wiped and let dry. The initial adhesion seemed pretty good and I left it 24 hours to set. I have used the bbq many times now and there is no sign of the gasket coming off or fraying etc. It made a noticeable difference to my low & slow cooking - temps were lower for the same vent setting as I imagine much less air is getting in through the lid/kettle seal. Hope that temps will also be more stable. So far so good.
