Excellent product!
This was an excellent mole' paste! We did use the information from the reviews to guide us in the preparation: A hot broth pot from which to gradually whisk in the broth, opening the packet in the sink over a bowl, a longer cooking time to allow the flavours to develop, and waiting for it to thicken until the desired consistency. We also changed our long-standing technique for preparation: poaching the chicken thighs in its own broth in a slow cooker until no pink remained instead of sautéing first, and using the finished mole' sauce to drizzle over the chicken on the serving plate rather than heating the chicken in the sauce. The information on the packet to add 2 cups of liquid, chicken broth or water, and that it made 6 servings of 1/4 cup each was misleading and at odds with the reviews stating that the packet made enough sauce for 4# and 7# of chicken, for10 people, and "enough for a crowd", respectively. We used 5.6# of boneless, skinless, chicken thighs with 32oz. of chicken bone broth, and it made plenty for a generous drizzle of mole' sauce serving ten people with enough left over for at least several more servings. This mole' paste is a very dark, intensely flavoured, authentic Mexican mole'. We would recommend it highly!

Amazing!
Bravo!!! This was the best mole I have ever had and so easy! I took the advice of one of the reviewers and used 4 cups of warm chicken broth to make the sauce. I then browned 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs in a skillet and added them to the sauce. I let them cook together for about an hour. I then skimmed the extra fat, thickened the sauce with a little corn starch and water and there you have it! Dinner! I served it with cilantro lime rice, sliced avocado and sour cream on the side. My husband went back for seconds. We have leftover sauce for another awesome meal! Thank you!!!!

Pellets can smoke fast and add flavor without a constant smoke bath for hours on end.

Best Mole aside from getting it from Mexico
Of all the mole my family has tried this one has been the only one both my mother and aunt approved of. They normally would get mole once a year from Mexico and thought that this was the same when I made it for them. I usually add a bit of Abuelita chocolate or sugar to lesson the "bite". Still, way better than the glass jar versions of mole from the store.

SHAME ON AMAZON
Shame on Amazon for selling this product. Of course when you purchase the product they don't tell you it contains lead.Warning label: Consuming this product can expose you to chemicals including lead and lead compounds, which are known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.Now they of course will not accept a return because it has been more than fifteen days since the purchase. I purchased this item assuming wrongly that it was safe and it should have never been posted for purchase on this website. What a waste of money, it is going straight into the trash can because I care about my health and already have suffered from heavy metal poisoning. This is not the only product Amazon sells with lead in it by the way.

Very, very good mole.
I am a huge mole fan and having lived in MX for a year I have probably had it 100 times in MX.This is better than most moles I have had in MX and the US.You will not be disappointed.The portion size is pretty large and easily makes makes enough for four servings.Gracias, mi mole.
