Keep it simple with friction shifters.
Index shifting is fine but friction shifters have never let me down. They also can be applied to more than one type of shifter. Got a 5spd, cool. It works on those! Got an 8spd, cool. Works on those too!

Works great
I needed this product because my arthritic wrist wouldn't let me shift the grip shifter. It was easy to install, and works great. Easy and smooth.

To short!!!
It is a great shifter for the price, but i installed it and it was about 8" to short so i hadcto modify my cable covers and move the shifter all the way down on my gooseneck to use it. Now after modifications it works great. But i really wish it was by my thumb id feel safer...

Great value & good quality. . .
It arrived quick, and it's good quality. Verry good deal. The only downside is that is still a bit hard to use it by my 8 years old son.

For the $ it is a great upgrade on older mountain bikes that have crappy grip shifters.

Great product but it is not the right hand (left hand is even pictured)
Don't get me wrong, this is the perfect way to move from a stem mounted shifter to the handlebars. The problem is that it says right hand, but the picture and the item received are both left hand. The packaging even says left hand. The cable length would be fine for a front derailleur, but it is too short to make the rear. I had a cable lying around so I was all set, but most people probably don't. It still works when you put it on the right side. My 5 speed Schwinn junker anti-theft bike is now so much more functional. I really used to have two useable gears, all the way up and all the way down. Now I can find the other three in the middle.
